Maritime transport is of vital importance to our society and its economy, with the daily transporting of goods, materials as well as oil, gas. Unfortunately, the awareness of cyber threats in this particular sector is almost non-existent and as such, the problem persists. The unique maritime communications & maritime security infastructure requires in-depth research and coordination.
Similarly cyber attacks in Oil & Gas industry, can have major detrimental effects on process control networks & related systems, could lead to the destabilization of the supplies capabilities and finally have dramatic effects on the national economy.
CYpBER 2016 conference for Maritime - Oil & Gas Cyber Security, has an aim to gather experts in the East Mediterranean, in order to provide with knowledge & ideas as well as to familiarize participants with this ongoing threat.
We believe that Cyber security is based on Assessment, Development, Implementation, Management and if you believe in the same methodology, you should attend our event.
Thanks for the opportunity you have given us to present the Digital Strategy of Cyprus. We are at your disposal for further cooperation.
